Awards and Prizes

Excellence deserves recognition. Submit your work for the USSIC Investigation Awards.

The Unica Sport Science International Conference (USSIC 2026) is committed to promoting scientific excellence, innovation, and high-quality research dissemination across all career stages. To this end, the Conference will recognize outstanding contributions through a dedicated Awards and Prizes programme.

The awards aim to encourage scientific rigor, originality, and effective communication, while fostering an inclusive and supportive international research community.

Award Categories

To ensure fair recognition of excellence at different career stages, two main award categories will be established:

Young Researcher Awards

Dedicated to early-career researchers, including PhD students, postdoctoral fellows, and researchers at the beginning of their academic careers. These awards aim to support and encourage emerging scientists, recognizing innovative ideas and high-quality research.

Senior Researcher Awards

Dedicated to established researchers and academics, acknowledging scientific maturity, methodological rigor, and impactful contributions to sport science, health, and applied practice.

Types of Awards

For each category (Young and Senior Researchers), prizes will be assigned to the two traditional forms of scientific communication presented at USSIC 2026:

• Best Oral Presentation

• Best Poster Presentation

Awards Ceremony

The Awards Ceremony will take place during the Conference, celebrating excellence in research and acknowledging the contributions of both emerging and established scientists within the international sport science community.
